In a statement Red Hot Chili Peppers have confirmed that John Frusciante is re-joining the band.

The band has thanked guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, with whom they worked for a decade, calling him “a beautiful music who we respect and love”.

Back in December 2009, Frusciante confirmed his departure , revealing he had actually left the group in the previous year. He was subsequently replaced by Josh Klinghoffer.
